General Policy
We are committed to remaining as accessible to our patients as possible. This is why we accept many health insurance programs. Our staff will do its best to verify your insurance coverage and specific benefits, then file a claim directly to the plan. If your services are not covered by health plan or we cannot verify coverage, we will expect payment of office services at the time of service. You will be given a complete statement of office services and charges.
We will file insurance for maternity patients and surgical procedures; but will make arrangements with you for payments of all deductibles, co-payments or other charges that are the patient's financial responsibility.
Managed Care Affiliation
Currently, we participate in many HMO, PPO, Point of Service (POS) and other managed care programs. Most of these plans require members to pay an office copayment for each office visit. We will file a claim to the plan for the balance. Payment of the copayment will be expected at your visit.
These contracts are frequently reviewed and changed; therefore, we will ask for a copy of your ID card at each visit. Prior to your visit, please contact us or your health plan to verify our participation in your plan.
Fees and Payment
Our fees are based on the usual and customary professional fees for obstetrics and gynecology in the Atlanta area. For services not covered by insurance, we accept cash, personal checks, VISA and MasterCard. For other payment arrangements, please see our office manager prior to your appointment.
